Patriarch Pond, Moscow, Russia
The name for the pond came from the fact that it had belonged to the Russian Orthodox Church at one time. One thing that is nice about Moscow is that they've planned green space in the midst of a sometimes dreary city. Many of the apartment buildings are old concrete buildings meant only to be used for a few years post WWII, but they are still in use. Because of their drabness, the green space is especially valuable. I just put the picture of the older guys in for fun. They were busy playing dominoes in the park by the pond and invited us over for vodka, but we had to graciously decline.
