The museum holds ninety sculptures by Fairbanks, both religious and historical. What a treasure trove of magnificent art!
This amazing old building was originally a school. The 6th grade teacher was also the principal, and he made a new chalk drawing each month. The next two pictures were the last ones he did in 1958. I loved the whole feeling of the building in general.
There are several rooms of historical significance. If you are interested in the way people lived in earlier times, you'll find this fascinating.
This couple, who are also depicted together in a larger sculpture, are Peter and Celestia Peterson, who were married for eighty-one years and ten months. They were married when they were both eighteen years old. He died at the age of one hundred, she at one hundred one.
There is even a prehistoric skeleton.
I really loved the series of Abraham Lincoln sculptures.
George Washington is there too!
